This is how we should celebrate special days! With hugs, friends – old and new – and joy!
And this is how I celebrated my name day on Sunday evening – Konstantina being my given name – together with the whole super-talented cast of "Evita," as soon as the final curtain came down.
And I can't imagine a better way to celebrate. With a full theater, at the end of another week's run, and surrounded by all those wonderful people.
Performing "Evita" is a magical experience, and I really wanted to dedicate a product to the production. But while I was preparing the e-shop, I hadn't yet decided on what product it would be. So, during a music rehearsal with our maestro, Alexis Priftis, I told him what I was working on and how creative it made me feel to be searching the whole country for the right raw materials for the products. I told him I was thinking about creating a limited-edition product to mark the production, and as the conversation turned to the subject of wine, he threw out an idea: Let's call the rosé wine "Evita, la casa rosada," which means "the pink house" and is the name of the building from which Evita delivered her speeches in Buenos Aires.
It didn't take me long to decide to move ahead!
And the first glass was in my hand a few days ago, as part of the buffet at the name-day party I and another member of the cast – Elena – threw last Sunday!
It was wonderful to share such moments with friends, and it is even more wonderful to accompany such moments with the flavors and aromas you have chosen with so much care and love, as was the case with this wine from Ancient Olympia – organic, naturally. So I dedicate it to Alexis and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Evita, la casa Rosada, with warmest wishes to all of you – Konstantina, Konstantinos and Helen – on your name day.
